Allyship Session for Hines in Hong Kong

In December 2025, I hosted a session on Effective Allyship for Hines’ teams across the Asia-Pacific region. The session was hosted in Hines’ Hong Kong office, and the teams from Japan, China, Korea, Singapore, and Australia joined remotely via Zoom. The initiative was hosted under OneHines Women’s Network to promote equity and inclusion through allyship in the workplace and beyond.

The session focused on how to become an effective ally by debunking myths and misunderstandings about allyship and setting clear principles. We looked at the definition of allyship and its power as a catalyst for equity and discussed common scenarios of micro-aggressions in the workplace and how to face those situations with empathy, supporting both parties.

We wrapped up the session with an overview of the ALLYSHIP framework, deep-diving into specific behaviours that can help go from intention to effective action and take a more proactive approach:

  • Advocate
  • Listen
  • Listen
  • Yield

The session was attended by over 60 employees across the different teams, and to keep them interactive, I incorporated Word Clouds and Polls via Slido. Hybrid sessions are in high demand among global organizations as they are a cost-effective way to make a bigger impact in the L&D space.

I work with global organizations such as UBS, S&P Global, AIA, Michael Page and others across the world.
