Motivational Speaker for Hey Lady!

In January 2026, I had the privilege of serving as a motivational guest speaker for Hey Lady!, a vibrant global community of over 100,000 women dedicated to building English fluency, confidence, and meaningful connections through language learning. As a women-only online platform, Hey Lady! empowers members worldwide to practice speaking English in a supportive environment, fostering friendships across cultures while advancing personal and professional growth. Their mission extends beyond language skills to creating a sense of belonging, bringing women together both virtually and in person to inspire one another and thrive in everyday life, work, and beyond.

Hey Lady! selected my book, “The Anti-Procrastinator” (Penguin Random House) as the featured read for their book club. Drawing from the book’s core principles, I delivered an engaging session centered on overcoming procrastination through the power of self-awareness and practical action.

During the talk, I shared insights on identifying and dismantling limiting beliefs that hold women back, those deep-seated stories we tell ourselves about not being “good enough,” “ready,” or “capable.” Many participants resonated deeply, reflecting on how these beliefs quietly sabotage progress in language learning, career goals, and personal aspirations.

A key highlight was exploring the 6 types of procrastinators, each driven by different emotional and psychological triggers. From the “Perfectionist” who delays starting because it’s never “good enough” to the “Worrier” who is always fabricating worst-case scenarios, and the “Over-Committer” juggling too many priorities, I broke down how recognizing your dominant type is the first step toward meaningful change.

The session focused on shifting from perfection to progress, highlighting that action, even imperfect action, builds momentum and confidence far more effectively than endless planning. I also shared actionable best practices and tips to take decisive steps forward today.

– Break tasks into tiny, low-pressure “micro-actions” to bypass resistance
– Use the “2-minute rule” for immediate momentum
– Implement self-compassionate deadlines instead of rigid ones
– Reframe failure as valuable feedback
– Build accountability through community support

Participants left energized and equipped with tools to apply these strategies not only to their English practice (like committing to daily conversations despite fear of mistakes) but also to broader life goals. The interactive format encouraged participation, creating an atmosphere of vulnerability and empowerment that mirrored Hey Lady!’s welcoming ethos.

This event underscored my passion for motivating audiences—particularly women—to unlock their potential by confronting inner barriers with kindness and strategy.

Collaborating with Hey Lady! was truly rewarding, reinforcing how powerful communities like theirs can amplify personal growth. If you’re seeking a motivational speaker who combines deep expertise on procrastination and self-mastery with engaging, audience-centered delivery, I’d love to bring this energy to your next event.
